Araceli Moreno is an attorney with more than 8 years of experience in the public sector. Her proficiency stems from work in the legal departments of the former Generation and Distribution Departments of Mexico’s Federal Electricity Commission (Comisión Federal de Electricidad), where she developed her expertise in acquisition of possession and ownership rights of real estate, governed by both civil and agrarian law, for purposes of installation of power distribution plants and rights of way, also acquiring experience in resolving disputes arisen from the foregoing before civil and agrarian courts.
Araceli Moreno’s expertise encompasses legal status regularization of real estate intended for the installation of electric power infrastructure. It also includes obtaining permits and licenses before municipal, state and federal entities for the implementation of electric energy projects.
She furthered extensive experience in civil liability lawsuits facing claims for millions of dollars in compensations for physical and moral damages. In addition, her experience includes counsel in different administrative proceedings before institutions and agencies including INAI, SEDATU, RAN, CONAGUA, SCT, PROFECO, CNDH, to list a few.
Her experience in the public sector has enabled her to counsel, now from the private sector, companies such as CFEnergía S.A. de C.V. in matters related to acquisition of rights of way for the implementation of a relevant project in Mexico’s northwestern region.
Academically, Araceli Moreno has a solid record from some of Mexico’s most prestigious institutions and other international entities. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Universidad TecMilenio, a Diploma Course in Energy Law from Escuela Libre de Derecho, a Diploma Course in Energy Markets from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, and a Diploma Course in Environmental Assessment and Management from Centro de Estudios en Energías Renovables in Barcelona, Spain.
